单重态氧成像

分子氧是维持和熄灭生命以及破坏物质的最重要分子之一。几十年来,研究人员一直对分子氧的最低激发态单线态氧(1O2)的物理和化学性质感兴趣。单重态氧具有独特的反应性,可导致聚合物降解或生物细胞死亡。通过光动力疗法(PDT),可以利用其作为细胞死亡中间体的作用来治疗癌症,该技术利用光作为医学工具。

在PDT中,将光敏剂掺入异常组织中,然后用可见光照射,使其通过II型光化学途径将能量转移至基态氧,从而产生单重态氧(通过弱的1270 nm发射检测到)。已经提出了几种高空间分辨率的方法,以使用单个光电倍增管(PMT),线性InGaAs检测器阵列或二维InGaAs检测器来检测1O2发光。
